1) Chocolate Museum, Kota Damansara

Chocolate Museum is located in Kota Damansara and has been operating since 2013. Chocolate Museum is the first of its kind in Malaysia that welcomes students to visit and at the same time, enhancing each visit with 3 elements namely, education on cocoa and chocolate, chocolate production and sale of locally-produced chocolate. Besides that, the Museum will also hold a live demonstration and students will be able to taste the freshly-produced chocolates!

2) Zoo Negara

Everyone certainly knows about Zoo Negara, and some may have even visited it. Zoo Negara provides seminars and learning sessions on wildlife conservation and management. Students will learn on animal behaviour, how to handle animals and also public safety. This is in line with the main goal of Zoo Negara which is wildlife conservation. In addition, a program called Zoo Camp Programme which includes Night Walk, Wildlife Enrichment Program and Campfire activities is also offered here!

3) Selangor Fruit Valley

Selangor Fruit Valley is located in Bestari Jaya. The expansive area with a variety of attractions allows students to experience first-hand agricultural activities and taste a variety of fresh local fruits and vegetables. Various interesting activities can be carried out here such as vegetable picking and rubber tapping activities, visits to animal farm and traditional houses, and many more!

4) Kampung Sungai Sireh Tanjung Karang and Kampung Haji Dorani, Sungai Besar

A visit to Kampung Sungai Sireh and Kampung Haji Dorani will give a satisfying and enjoyable experience to the students! Here, they can experience living in the village and learn the villagers’ way of life. Activities include fishing, flying a kite, weaving coconut leaves, as well as visits to paddy fields and traditional houses!

5) Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM)

Among the interesting places in Selangor suitable for a school trip is Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) which is located in Kepong. With an area of 600 hectares and surrounded by the Bukit Lagong Forest Reserve, it offers a variety of nature activities to the visiting students. Among the activities that can be done here are jogging at the Rover Track, cycling and learning about the uniqueness of nature. The students will surely be amazed to see the beauty of the greens.

6) Shah Alam National Botanical Park

Shah Alam National Botanical Park is one of the well-known attractions in the State of Selangor. First developed on April 24, 1986, the National Botanical Park has become a centre of excellence in the fields of education, research, conservation for botanical development and other related fields. It is an ideal location for students to learn the process of planting flowers and environmental care, as well as enjoy nature walks and visits to the zoo. In addition, the provided facilities such as the tram will make this tour even more enjoyable!
