1)     Sungai Lepoh Waterfall

Sungai Lepoh Waterfall is located in the Hulu Langat district near Pangsoon Village and is also known as Sungai Lopo or Sungai Lepok. It is one of the ideal getaways for those who love adventures. Surrounded by the beauty of flora and fauna, this destination surely offers a great view. The waterfall is also undeniably beautiful and the clarity of the water is amazing. You may also carry out other activities here such as trekking, bird watching and having a picnic by the river.

 

2)     Sky Mirror

Sky Mirror, Kuala Selangor is also known as Malaysia’s very own “Salar de Uyuni” due to the similarity to a natural phenomenon in Bolivia. Sky Mirror is one of the hidden gems that can be found in Selangor but it is somewhat underrated. Sky Mirror is only accessible during certain dates in a lunar month, typically during low tides. It takes approximately 30-minute to reach there by speedboat from Sky Mirror jetty. Do not forget to wear vibrant-coloured clothes on your visit to Sky Mirror as they pop in pictures!

 

3)     Sungai Selangor Dam

Many may not know the existence of Sungai Selangor Dam as one of the best spots for stargazing activity. Began operation in the year 2003, the dam is located along the main road about 5 kilometres from Kuala Kubu Bharu town. The location is an ideal getaway for stargazers to enjoy astrophotography due to the fact that Sungai Selangor Dam is not exposed to external lights. Also, the setting is somewhat isolated and the area is so amazing; thanks to the surrounding hills and lakes.

 

4)     Kelanang Beach

Kelanang Beach is located in Kuala Langat district and takes about 20-minutes’ drive from Banting town. The beach is not that well-known and less-visited but it offers beautiful sunset and breath-taking view of the oceans. There are many picnic and camping spots along the beach and is a great location to enjoy the sea breeze and the views with your friends and family, or simply to have peace of mind.

 

5)     Secret Garden @ 1 Utama Shopping Centre

Secret Garden was built on the rooftop of 1 Utama Shopping Centre which occupies 30,000 square feet of space. It displays more than 500 species of exotic flora and tropical plants which are all carefully nurtured. Each plant is grown in bio-carbon soil and carefully preserved by experienced botanists. The admission is free and open to the public on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays from 10am-10pm.

 

6)     Gasing Hill

Gasing Hill is situated near to the city in Petaling Jaya town. The Hill is within the areas of Gasing Hill Forest Reserve. The location is spot-on for recreational activities and is well-known among hikers, especially beginners. The forest stretches within an area of approximately 52 hectares with a height of 164 meters. You may enjoy the breathtaking views of the city and skyscrapers once you reach the peak of Gasing Hill.
