Kelip - Kelip (Fireflies Park) Kampung Kuantan, Kuala Selangor

Fireflies are well recognised in Kampung Kuantan Selangor. Many of the firefly nests can only be found here. Furthermore, fireflies are a type of insect that belongs to the beetle family. The 'Pteroptyx tener' species is the most common in Kampung Kuantan. The firefly's distinguishing feature is its tail, which produces light blinking. What distinguishes fireflies from other insects is the insect's simultaneous blinking of three lights every second. Kampung Kuantan is a small village and situated about 9km from Kuala Selangor. Sekinchan is well-known for its excellent rice yields and mechanised agricultural practices. There are fascinating activity of eel-fishing with the huge paddy fields encompassing practically the entire terrain of Sekinchan. Kuala Selangor Nature Park

Kuala Selangor Nature Park (Taman Alam Kuala Selangor) is a haven for a diverse range of flora and wildlife. There is a 201-hectare wide Tropical Rainforest and the balance is Swamp Forest on a total area of 296 hectares, which is divided into two main regions. As part of the Selangor River estuary, the park is home to a variety of large bird species, including milky storks and herons, as well as primates, including silver leaf monkeys and long-tailed macaques. There are also over 150 bird species in the area, with an estimated 100,000 wading birds from 30 different species passing through on their annual migration. Waterfalls @ Kanching Eco Forest Park

Kanching Eco Forest Park is known for having the most waterfalls in Selangor, with seven tiers. Some waterfalls are little but forceful, while others are delicate and graceful, falling, and cascading gloriously. Visitors will be met by natural greenery with a magnificent grass and a quiet stream covered with stones where children and adults can swim around. Sungai Congkak Park & Resort

Sungai Congkak is a renowned recreational forest in Selangor's Hulu Langat district. Camping, picnicking, BBQs, and bathing in the clear cool water of natural river pools and rapids under the tall tropical rainforest trees are among the activities and facilities available here. Although there are no waterfalls in the Sungai Congkak Recreational Forest, the river pools are wide and shallow in certain places, making them ideal for a dip or swim. Sungai Chiling, Kuala Kubu Bharu

Sungai Chiling is 3 kilometres from Kuala Kubu Bharu. The Chiling Waterfalls, like the Gabai Waterfalls, are located within Taman Warisan Negeri Selangor (Selangor State Park). An delightful jungle hike takes guests through streams and rivers, past unique species such as wild orchids and bamboo, before arriving at the signature 80-meter waterfall overlooking a tranquil lagoon. The waterfalls and river are also home to the Mahseer Fish Sanctuary, which is overseen by the Selangor Fisheries and Forestry Departments. Today, the area has become an important habitat and natural breeding ground for the fish that migrate from the river's headwaters to the main waterfall area.


Sungai Tekala

Sungai Tekala is near the Semenyih Dam in the Hulu Langat region. It is part of the Sungai Lalang Forest Reserve, which is part of the State Park Forest, or Taman Warisan Negeri Selangor. This unspoiled lowland dipterocarp forest is a popular spot for locals to picnic by a gorgeous river and swim in its crystal clear water, as well as stroll through the natural rain forest. This park provides limited amenities, such as rest huts placed near the steps leading to the waterfalls. Sungai Pertak

The Sungai Pertak River flows through an Orang Asli community and into the Sungai Selangor Dam. The river flows through deep pools with tiny waterfalls in intervals, with the main segment near the settlement.
