Scammers: It’s Not Just Business - It’s Betrayal

What hurts the most isn’t just being scammed.

It’s being scammed by someone you trusted.

You shared your time. Your knowledge. You opened your heart and your business to them. And they took that trust - not just to fail you, but to rob you. Quietly. Without guilt.

People like this aren’t just dishonest. They’re dangerous.

Because they pretend to be genuine…while planning how to take what isn’t theirs.

This isn’t about business going wrong. This is about deliberate greed, calculated lies, fake promises, false deliverables, taking deposits and disappearing.

And to those who do this, especially to people who believed in you - you’re not just holding stolen money. You’re holding debt. In this life, and in the next.

“Indeed, those who consume the property of others unjustly are only filling their bellies with fire.”

(Surah An-Nisa’ 4:10)

Every cent you gain through deception carries a curse. Every lie you told to make a sale, every smile you gave while planning to cheat - you will answer for it.

Greed Will Never Be Enough - Even When You Think You’ve Won

Scammers want fast money. Fast lifestyle. Fast “success.”

But what you don’t realise is, you’re already poor.

Poor in honour. Poor in barakah. Poor in character.

That money will never bring peace. That income will never stay. That business will never last.

You see them jumping from one project to another. Running. Hiding. Always starting over.

Because deep down - they know. What they built is a lie. And lies don’t stand long.

“Woe to those who give less [than due], who take in full but cheat when they give.”

(Surah Al-Mutaffifin 83:1–3)

The Real Cost of Scamming - Beyond What You Stole

1. On the Scammer:

Your name may trend, but your soul knows what you’ve done.

You will never feel settled - only chasing more, hiding more.

Every project you touch after this will feel heavier. Cursed.

God may give you wealth in the dunya - but it will burn you in the akhirah.

2. On the Victim:

Sleepless nights. Shame. Humiliation. And worst - regret for trusting.

Their goals collapse. Their business plans fall apart.

They carry the trauma - not just of the money lost, but the betrayal of it.

3. On Families:

  • Children grow up eating from stolen income.
  • It feeds their body, but destroys their blessing.
  • Spouses bear the burden - the lies, the stress, the breakdown.
  • Victim families fall into hardship - not from failure, but from your theft.

4. On Society:

  • No one wants to support new businesses anymore.
  • Good people suffer because liars like you poisoned the well.
  • Trust dies. Kindness fades. Suspicion grows.
  • And the honest struggle more - because scamming became normal.

To Every Scammer: This Isn’t Hustle. This Is Debt.

Whether you took RM10, RM1,000 or RM100,000 - you took someone’s right.

And that right doesn’t disappear just because you blocked them.

“On the Day of Judgement, every injustice will be paid back. Even if it’s as small as a mustard seed.”

(Surah Al-Anbiya’ 21:47)

Don’t be proud that you “got away with it.”

You’re not ahead. You’re not successful.

You’re in debt with God, and that debt…doesn’t expire.

You Can’t Scam People and Expect Peace

That money you stole?

It may buy nice things.

But it will never buy you peace, nor restore your name.

It will never undo the pain you caused.

If you have any shred of conscience left:

  • Return what you took
  • Apologise
  • Face your actions
  • Make it right while you still can

Because on the Day you meet your Lord, your followers won’t save you. Your excuses won’t matter.

And to the victims:

You may have lost money.

But you didn’t lose your value, your sincerity, or your honour.

You did your part - you gave with trust. You acted in good faith. And that is something Allah will return to you, in ways no scammer ever could.
